OK, so i have set up an account with ebay & also with pay-pal.
And am now ready to sell all my junk, er i mean highly prized nic nacs!

Any things to be on the look out for?
Any pitfalls or anything i should be wary of?
Or any advice you want to give will be helpful.

Cheers in advance folks.:thumb:

To get some idea of the selling price of your highly prized knicknacks have a look to see what the same or similar items are listed at. Also you will see whether there are hundreds of similar items or none at all and then you will know wether to start with a low or a higher start price.

I think most of your learning will come by trial and error - mine did. :D

Let us know your first selling item and us ebay experts (and i count myself as 1 with over 800 transactions at 100%) will try and guide you m8.

My best tip is a good clear photograph, not a stock 1 and if its got flaws and imperfections then state them ..people like honesty and with that you will not go far wrong m8. A little cheekiness at postage costs will claw back some fees but don`t be greedy. My philosophy is ...if i am selling it....would i buy it ??

Rule number 1 = Don't use a bank account with too much money.

Rule number 2 = If you want to be a great bidder always bid in the last 5 seconds. I normally open 2 tabs and keep hitting the refresh button on one tab and on the other keep typing in a price I think I can win it with. Then about 5 seconds sometimes 2 seconds I will make my bid. :)

Rule number 3 = Don't use a bank account with too much money.

Happy bidding!

Your welcome :)

Links to good reviews of the product you are selling help your customers decide if its a good deal.
