Unable to send e-mails with following servers pop.east.cox.net and
smtp.east.cox.net. I receive e-mails though. Says, "unable to connect," when
I'm using my laptop on wifi.

When using wireless are you connected to cox.net, or are you using some
other ISP?

Other isp thru internet eHost @ http://www.express.ihg.com/byemn.

If you are using a Cox SMTP server on Port 25 and are not connected to Cox's
network, you won't send.

If you are travelling, you need to use a 3rd party SMTP server, such as
gmail's, to get around the fact that ISPs block port 25 connections to 3rd
party servers to prevent SPAM relaying.

Whether one uses SMTP authentication or not may make a difference
to the SMTP server. However, it has no effect on whether one's current
Internet connection provider will block that transmission.
