E-mails displayed at random

My incoming messages were always displayed in the order they arrived. Now,
incoming messages are displayed in random order, mixed among older messages.
Does anyone know a fix?
 
Click on the column heading, to sort, as in any windows program.

Click on "Received" to sort by date
Click on "From" to sort by sender
etc.

Click again to change the sort order
 
Click on the Sent column to sort one way, click again to sort the other
(ascending date/descending date).
 
They may also display in random date order if you have Toolbar (ALT if not
visible): View > Current View > Group Messages by Conversation Checked
