E-mail set up

windows xp, want to set up outlook 2007 to work with my hotmail account.
seems that I am not entering the correct info for the INCOMING MAIL SERVER
and
the OUTGOING MAIL SERVER. What should they be

You can't use Hotmail in Outlook unless you have a paid account. You also
need the Outlook Connector to be able to do this if you have a paid account.

Well, that's no longer true. The Hotmail account needs to be set up as a
Windows Live account and then it will work with the Outlook Connector, even
if free.

Not here it doesn't - I've converted my legacy Hotmail account to a
Windows Live account, installed the outlook Connector, and it STILL
tells me I can't subscribe unless I pay.

Funnily enough, I can receive and send perfectly well from my Hotmail
account in Thunderbird using an extension...way to go MS!

Thanks - it's obviously been fixed in version 2 as the previous beta which I
tried didn't work....
