e-mail address and names

Hi. Quick question. Why when using outlook 2000, when I type e-mail
addresses in the to box, it automatically turns them into regular names
(example (e-mail address removed) turns into Joe Smith.

Because it takes the existing address from your Contacts
list, where you have the email address as well as the
display name which is usually pre-formatted as "First
Name, Last Name" as opposed to "(e-mail address removed)"
