Contact Display

Using Outlook 2002:

When I open an email up into its own window, the from
section looks as follows--

Fom: Joe Smith [[email protected]]

Is there any way to turn the bracketed part off so it
would just display:

From: Joe Smith

Thanks.

Open your own listing in the Address Book and change the Display Name entry. This is one of those annoying glitches in Outlook 2003, IMO.

I don't see what you're talking about. I'm using Outlook
2002--perhaps that's the problem?

No, it's not the problem. If this person if in your Contacts folder, open
the entry and modify the "Display as" field to appear as you want it.

See the conversation subject "Mass re-population of 'Display as' field."
We had the same problem after upgrading from OL2000 to OL2003. KePaHa
provided easy to use macro code that was the best thing to happen to me all
week!

Depending on where the address format is shown, changing the display name in
the contact won't matter at all... it'll always be name [email address] in
an open message or in the reading pane. Replies *should* show the email
display name listed in contacts in the To or CC fields.
