I have a Dell (8500) computer, Win XP, with 1GB RAM, CD-RW drive and Phillips
DVD+RW burner. I can burn a movie to DVD+R or DVD+RW and it plays back just
fine on my computer and they even playback on my home DVD players just fine.
I recently got a home DVD recorder, which records to DVD+R and DVD+RW format.
I recorded a TV channel to a DVD+RW disc and tried to play it on on my Dell
(8500) computer but it won't play. I've tried finalizing, and recording on
all of the various speeds, LP SP etc. but it just won't play, it doesn't
even recognize that a disc is even in the drive. However, DVD+RW plays just
fine on my son's Dell, (4550) computer which has a LiteOn DVD-ROM.
How can I fix the problem?
