dvd movie player hangs xp upgrade

When attempting to install xp or do the compatability test the system hangs
on "processing system files........ DVD movie player" no dvd drive is in the
computer just a cd-rom. No DVD software is installed.....PLease Help...Thanks

I have the same problem

Hallo! I am Carlos, and I have the SAME problem when triyng to install Windows XP Professional (spanish) on my PIII PC with Win98 SE. Did you solve the problem? Please email me or post a reply about it, because I NEED to install Windows XP on my computer, I need this upgrade for other programs that I must run over XP. Thanks in advance, I wait for your answer.
