Dvd/Cd launch

Hi
Anyone help here.
Normally when I inserted a cd or dvd into
the dvd rom drive, after spinning up the disc
a small box would pop to choose a program
to use ie windows media player/real player or
simalar.
I recall clicking take no action a while back and
it no longer appears,so anyone know where it
lives or what it is called,would like to enable it again.

Open "My Computer", right-click the drive, "Properties", "Auto Play" tab, select each of the
content types, uncheck the box, "Select an action to perform", check "Prompt me each time to
choose an action", "Apply", and "OK" when done. (Or click the "Restore Defaults" button.)

Hello - i have a laptop with a 5-in-1 card reader. for some reason, when i
tried taking the steps you suggested, it does not work... it still just opens
the folder... is there anyway to undo that?
