DVD Burner not writing

hi
my dvd burner (LG Gh22NP20) will read but not write , when I go to write
the measage comes up no Recorder , I have teied reinstalling and even a
different DVD burner but it still come up with the no recorder measage.
any help would be much apreciated.

The recording tab is checked , and this devise uses the xp drivers so I am
at a blank .

What type of "blank" media are you attempting to use? DVD media (DVD-
R(W), DVD+R(W)) can not normally be written to with XP only.

I have tried cdr , dvd-r , dvd+r , dvdrw But all my softwear comes up with
the measage No recorder found.
I have even changed the ide cable.

Which software? And was this software "bundled" with the correct DVD
recorder? Sounds like you trying to use the "bundled" DVD writting
software that came with a different drive. Bundled software can only
be used with the drive it came with.

I fixed the problem , I uninstalled all of the writing softwear nero avs
sonic ect and then done the remove the uper and lower filters restarted and
installed all the softwear again and it works for everything again cd , dvd -
/+
