What are you scanning with?

What is the image name of the process producing high CPU usage?

Download Process Explorer.
For further information about Process Explorer see here:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/SystemInformation/ProcessExplorer.mspx

It would be helpful if you could post the Command Line of the process
generating the excessive CPU usage. In Process Explorer place
cursor on Process and select Properties, Image.

It's logging software that runs whenever a software application
(In your case Internet Explorer) hangs you terminate it.

Also it should be named "dumprep" and not "dumpexe"
You can highlight this process and kill it
using task manger and then click the 'End Process' button
located in the lower left.

Check C:\WINDOWS\minidump for log files which will
start to accumulate over time, these can be deleted.

I am not that computer literate, what do you mean by Scanning?

Image name dumpexe.exe
-- Do I have to download Process Exploere or is it already in windows XP
Home?

Thanks for your help Gerry!

Not knowing what you really did/have/know (details lacking on all
counts) - here is what I suggest:

Figure out what operating system and service pack level of said
operating system you have:
Start button --> RUN --> type in:
winver
--> Click OK.
You should be able to gather the Windows version (Home,
Professional, Media Center, TabletPC, etc) from the top graphic
in the window that should appear and the exact version (including
service pack level) from the "Version" line. You might even like to
share that with those you are asking for help from (here.)

Figure out what Internet browser you are using (whatever
browser it is - likely Internet Explorer, but maybe not):
Open the Internet browser you are using to go to your Yahoo
Mail.
Holding down the "ALT" key on your keyboard (either one),
press first the "H" key, wait one second, press the "A" key.
This should bring up an "About" window that shold tell you
the browser name and version. You might even like to
share that with those you are asking for help from (here.)

In any case...

Download, install, run, update and perform a full scan (separately) with the
following two applications (freeware versions are the ones to use for this):

SuperAntiSpyware
http://www.superantispyware.com/

MalwareBytes
http://www.malwarebytes.com/

After performing a full scan with one and then the other and removing
whatever they both find completely, you may uninstall these products,
if you wish.

Uninstall all older versions of Java (Java Runtime Environment (JRE))
from your computer. The newere versions may actually remove older
versions, but only certain older versions and your post does not indicate
one way or another how many you might have.

Start button --> RUN --> type in:
control appwiz.cpl
--> Click OK.

The "Add or Remove Programs" window will open and you should
check the "Show updates" ox and let it populate. Once it has
populated, find all the entries for Java (JRE) - usually
"Java(TM) # Update #" or something similar and select each one
and select "Change/Remove" one-by-one until you have removed
them all.

Reboot.

Then download and install the latest version of Java from SUN's
web site.

http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
.... choose (click on) the "Download" button next to the
"Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE) # Update ##"
and choose the proper platform (likely "Windows") from the list
and check the box to state that you agree and click on "Continue".

I suggest getting,
"Windows Offline Installation
jre-6u11-windows-i586-p.exe"

Download, save - not run, find where you saved it and run it to
install.

You may want to also uninstall all older versions of Adobe
and Macromedia products you might have (Acrobat Reader,
Flash, Shockwave...) and install the latest versions. The removal
would be similar to the above. Including the reboot. Then you
would visit http://www.adobe.com/ to download and install the
latest version of those from them.

Specifically:

http://www.adobe.com/go/EN_US-H-GET-READER
http://www.adobe.com/go/EN_US-H-GET-FLASH
http://www.adobe.com/go/EN_US-H-GET-SHOCKWAVE

Should work for you.

You should do that (for the adobe products) in each Internet
browser you have installed.

That should get you cleaned up with the latest version of the plugins
and such that something like a web-based email like Yahoo mail
might use.

You said "Did a scan no spyware or malware detected." What software did
you use to scan.

Download Process Explorer,

You will not see the image name until you have downloaded Process
Explorer.

Hope this helps.

How do I locate that windows/minidump thing..Where do I have to
look.

If you cannot use Windows Explorer/My Computer to get to the
C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\ directory - you won't understand too much of what (if
anything) you find.

My suggestions for you have not changed. Go through them, come back with at
least the requested information and/or the end-result after you complete all
the steps. ;-) You'll be better off for it - I can all but guarantee it.

I never suggested you should. In my view that suggestion is a red
herring but someone else thinks differently.
