Hi all,

=>i got virus in my system , i formatted the system and installed "Windows XP" successfully.. by mistake, again i started installing "Windows XP" but i found it and quit from that installation mode...now the thing is if my system starts it shows with the "Dual Mode" ..one mode going to my "Windows XP" normally and if i choose other mode it asks me to "Install the Windows XP"...

=>My question is how should i delete the second mode which is not useful at all (Nothing is there in that mode)...I dont want to see the dual mode option in my system...I want to start with the single mode ..Help me please !!!!!!!!

A slight 'bodge fix' without editing the boot.ini would be:

Right click 'My Computer'
Navigate to Properties>Advanced>Startup and Recovery>Settings

Make sure the Default Operating System is set as WindowsXP/Fast Detect, and then uncheck 'Time to display list of operating systems'

Cilck 'OK' and then 'Apply'

It won't delete the other mode, but it should bypass the option and boot straight into XP.
