Dual boot

So I have a laptop which I dual boot Windows 10 with Linux Mint. I don't use it much and a family member is in need of a new latop but doesn't want the dual boot. Is it as easy as just deleting the Linux partition or would it be better to reformat ?

A clean install is always a good thing whenever possible. ;) You did the right thing
