dual boot win 2k & xp

I have a Windows 2000 system now and I would like to have
a chance to experiment with XP prior to only going to XP.

I have a 36gig NTFS drive with only 1 partition. How can I
change the partition size to then load XP into a new
partition?

You cannot repartition in Windows without a 3rd party partition utility.

Hi, Tim.

Disk Management (at the Run prompt, type: diskmgmt.msc) can create and
delete partitions, but it can't resize them. To shrink your existing
partition so that there will be room to create a new one, you have just 2
choices:

1. Invest your time: Backup; repartition; reformat; restore, or

2. Invest your money: Partition Magic (about $70) or something similar.
