i have read that there have been problems with download in IE, has there been
a fix for it yet?

MS working with it.

I believe it´s a temporarily clutter/junkyard problem.

If all users removed this "clutter" there was no problem.

CCleaner for example or Diskcleaner but with diskcleaner there is no
3rd party junk cleaning.

www.ccleaner.com > Uncheck Yahoo toolbar during install !

A small subset of users encounter this issue. If you have encountered this
on your system, there's a specific Microsoft staffer here who would be
interested in collecting information from you with a view towards resolving
this.

I wouldn't let that issue get in the way of installing Windows Defender--it
happens to very few, and can be resolved by removing the app or in several
other ways.
