Whenever I download anything from the internet i ususally get a box that pops
open so i can choose rather to open or save file. WEll, it doesn't do that
anymore, and nothing pops up, it just automatically downloads to a temp
folder and opens the file... How can I get it back to pop open the "save" and
"open" box???

Launch Internet Explorer and from the Toolbar select:
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced, scroll down to
"Notify when downloads complete", place a check next
to it, then click Apply.

Ok, I did what you said , and the Notify Downloads things was already
checked, so I unchecked it and re checked it and hit apply then ok, and I am
still having the same problem

Did you ever get a resolution to this.?

I am having this exactly but just for xxx.exe type downloads.
