Downloading: 2000 Professional

As part of a company update, I have to go to the companys portal and download
a file. When I try to download the file, it opens up in Excel.
Can someone tell me how to download this file?

What or which file are you trying to download? Anyhow, you should be
able to right click the download link and "Save Target as..."

When I right click, I get undo copy cut paste delete... none of which are

....from where you can choose File->Save As...
