I upgraded my Nero program and have unable to get it to my desktop, In Nero
options, it shows to be in AheadSoftwareAG.

What do ou mean?
If you want just to make shortcut for Nero, try to right click o
desktop>chose create shortcut.
I guess it has to resolve your problem
