Download Speed

Hi. While I'm downloading files from the Internet the Download Window says
that I'm downloading at a much slower speed than the speed of my Internet
connection. E.G. The window says that I'm downloading at 5 Kbps, but my
connection speed is 45 Kbps. Is there a setting I can change on the computer
to speed things up? I'm using Internet Explorer 6. Thanks.

The software is called Cablenut but it does have options for improving
connection speed for phone modems.
