I would like to return to windows 98 but am not allowed
to do it from xp home. I wanted to have xp home on office
and home computer and found I need two installations with
different product code. so I have to unistall at home and
put windows 98 back in but do not know how to open dos
without opening windows xp. Any help would be
appreciated. because I can not install windows xp from
that program, thanks Bruce

That's what I'd recommend too, but:

When you put XP Home on, did you tell it not to back up you Win98
install? If you told it to back up your old installation, you should
be able to uninstall XP Home and end up back with you old Win98
installation.

Now, if you told it NOT to back up your previous OS, then you'll have
to do a clean 98 install.
