(OT) Firefox problem Re: Tabs

When I open a new tab in FF, I get a blank screen (that is the default
setting). But for my HOME page, I have a HTML file on my own computer
that I made, which is a bunch of links to stuff I use regularly, such as
several browsers, local weather, some friends web pages, some sites I
use often, etc. The problem is that when I open FF, it goes to my home
page, but when I open a new tavb, it dont. I have to click on the Home
Icon each time.

Another browser I use, K-Meleon, goes to my home page for every tab.
I'd like to make FF do the same thing. Anyone know how?

Note: I'm using FF 3.6.28. This is on my Win98 machine. I cant use any
higher versions on 98, without problems. However, I have put FF 8.x on
my laptop with XP, and it does the same shit. There must be soem
setting in FF to make it o to my homepage on new tabs.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Not sure about FF3, but in the current FF just do this:

type "about:config" in the address bar (without the quotes)
agree to the disclaimer about how dangerous it is to change the config file
search for "newtab"
double-click "browser.newtab.url"
enter the location of your html page: e.g. "c:\my documents\index.html
restart FF

now when you open a new tab you'll see your page (or any other you might
want to see).

Does this help with FF3?
