Which software are you using?

If you're using the original DOS or Win95 port, I'd recommend using jDOOM,
which can be downloaded from http://www.doomsdayhq.com/

I was able to fix the problem of no mouse operation in the old DOOM games by
installing an item called Doomsday Kickstart...a user-created fix from jDoom
at doomsdayhq.com
