Does Windows 2000 write any logs during resume from hibernation?

Hi,

for ages resuming from hibernation has worked fine with my PC - all of a
sudden that stopped, it doesn't resume from hibernation anymore, but
stops after the black startup screen with the white bar at 100%.
A far as I know, all I did before that was installing Kapersky
Antivirus, which stopped Windows from booting at all (blue screen during
boot). Removing Kapersky from the system (after starting with "last
known good configuration) fixed the boot-up problem, but the hibernation
problem remains.
Now, here's the question: Does W2K write any logs while resuming from
Hibernation? When? And where to?

Still hoping....

Have you tried Disabling Hibernation, delete hyberfil.sys, (maybe
defrag, chkdsk, reboot for effect) re-enable Hibernation. And see if
that cures the problem.
