Greetings
History: 1) ASUS v9560 and NEC lcd1920 installed, configured and running well >6 months
2) BSOD due to corrupt IDE/disk driver
3) Did a REPAIR install from XP Pro C
Now: "Display" icon (and functionality) no longer in Device Manage
ADD Hardware does not allow installation of video card
Desktop/Display properties/Settings/Advanced/Adapter shows "<unavailable>" for eac
entry (5) under "adapter information
ibid/adapter/properties/general shows "VgaSave" and device type: Non-Plug and Play driver
manufacturer: Unknow
Location: Unknow
ibid/adapter/properties/Driver shows "VgaSave" and Service name: VgaSav
ibid/adapter/properties/Driver will NOT allow "Driver Details" (is grayed out"
I've visited this forum, MSDN KB, and Kelly's, to no avail and now my brain is hurting
so I am off to bed for myself
Good night all, I'll check back when I gave a cup of "Earl Grey" in my hands
