When space is limited, this can possibly happen.
Try clearing your temporary files
Start
Run...
type %TEMP% <enter>
delete the files
Clear the Internet Explorer temporary files
Start
Programs
Internet Explorer
Tools
Internet Options
General tab
Delete Cookies Button
OK
Delete Files... Button
Check mark "Delete all offline content"
OK
Compress files in Outlook Express
Start
Programs
Outlook Express
File
Folder
Compact all folders
Now try
Disk Clean Up again
If still no Joy
Move as much data off your HDD as possible to another Media
If you still have problems and have EVER had any problems with virus,
worms, Trojans, malware, Adaware, etc. you might want to go to
www.spychecker, and download Adaware, SpyBot S&D, CW Shredder, Stinger,
and run an online virus and security scan at
www.housecall.trendmicro.com. Install the first two and run them, but
make sure you check the files in Adaware to make sure you don't delete
files pertaining to SpyBot. Or you can download and install Adaware
first, run it and then install SpyBot. But afterward you will still need
to be careful, because Adaware thinks one or more of the files in SpyBot
are malware related. Be careful with CW Shredder also to make sure you
don't nuke anything from one of your applications, etc. If you do happen
to come up with anything in the virus scan, do a Google or Clusty search
and look for one of the AVP fix sheets, print it, and follow the
instructions line by line to get rid of anything.
If it still doesn't work after all of that try this
Start
Run...
type CHKDSK /R <enter>
"Y" <enter>
reboot and you may need your OS CD for any files it may need to repair.
Try it again and if it still doesn't work we'll need to do an Repair
Install
But let's try all of this first.

I tried running the disk cleanup program on my Windows 2000 Dell
Dimision
2400 on local disk c. It was the first time i had done it since i got
the
computer and i only have 4 GB left on my 30 GB hard drive. The first
time i
did it it frooze on 4 bars along. The next time it didn't show any bars
for
an hour and a half. Then i gave up. Does anyone have any idea what is
wrong.
