Disk Cleanup

Quick question... does disk cleanup normally take a decently long time? I
currently only have 5GB used on my machine, and cannot seem to progress past
the step "Scanning: Compress old files". I've waited for 40 minutes, and so
far it has not moved. CPU Usage is up at 100% and the disk is thrashing,
but so far no good has come of this. Is this normal?

Thanks, that worked famously. I've restored my registry to how it was
before the scan; should I leave it this way, only modifying when I need to,
or should I leave it without the compressed files entry?
