Disconnection

Device: Linksys USB network adapter WUSB11

I have this Linksys wireless adapter and it keep
disconnecting from the router which is linksys also I
have tryed changing the channels and the RTS threshold
and uninstalling and installing again and again also
contacted Linksys but since i get someone in India who
can hardly speak english and communicate with me its of
no help they dont know a fly from their own ass. Man i
really need some help.

I also got a new one and exchanged the other one. but now
my problem got worst before i disconnected twice a day
now i cant even stay on that long. I think i now know
what was the problem before i installed the WLan monitor
Utility that came with the cd but im not suppose to
because in Xp zero wireless service takes care of it.

My specs

Windows xp pro service pack 1a
AMD 2400+
512MB ram
80 gig
FX5200
MSI mobo

dont knwo what else to put so just ask me and ill give
yall the info you need to help me.

.. disable 802.1x if enabled
.. Update the driver set from Linksys if you are not current
.. Update your USB drivers for SP1:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en;822603
.. If in an access point rich area, try changing the channels used by
the wireless router
.. Be certain you have not disabled SSID broadcast on the router

Where do i disable 802.1x ???
DO you mean the power management option??

Look at the Properties of you Preferred Wireless connection,
it is under the tab Authentication.
