Disallow email deletion

My husband likes to clean & insists on deleting emails that 'we don't need
anymore'. Except for several occasions when I need the email & am unable to
locate it..... I don't have a password on the account - he needs to be able
to read emails during the day when I'm gone. I don't use an Exchange server
(after searching messages, I've seen several ideas there that may work, but
alas, it's not an option). I can't find any way to 'hide' the deleted file
folder - that would probably be the best way because he wouldn't be able to
find it. I've searched thru permissions & setting but can't find anything
that I think will work. Beating him over the head would be the easiest
solution, but I guess I'm looking for the 'hard way' to figure this out. :)
Any advise or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks.

Unless you each have your own address and outlook profile, there isn't
anything you can do to stop him from deleting the messages.

you have at least 4 options:
1. if you want to hide messages, drop them on the outlook today folder. you
can use advanced find to view them or turn off the folder home page on the
folder - don't forget to turn it back on.
2. is he also emptying the deleted items folder? if not, review the messages
in the deleted folder and move the ones you want to keep to the outlook
today folder.
3. can you convince him to not empty deleted items? Set up autoarchive to
delete older messages - this will give you time to recover messages you need
to keep.
4. set outlook to leave mail on the server then make your own outlook
profile to delete them from the server.
