Disable Routing and Remote Access

Hi

I seems to have locked my RRAS. It can be stopped and started but I want to
disable it to totally reconfigure it.
When I run Disable Routing and Remote Access the service is stopped but all
my configuration stays.
I can then start just start it.
Does anyone know how to reinstall RRAS with reinstalling Windows.

Did you try through the MMC "rrasmgmt.msc"
Right click on the server name and select the "Diable" option. It should
diable the RRAS Server and you should be able to reconfigure it from
scratch.

Are you not able to get it working?

We cannot re-install RRAS. Only thing is to re-install Windows and start
off. But I guess option I above should work.

Let me know if you see any errors or event logs in the eventviewer.

I have tried the disable through the MMC and it does not work.

The current running version may work but I am cautious of using it and
setting up the rest of the system when RRAS obviously has some type of
problem.

I had the same problem then I re-enabled "Remote registry" service and
everything went magically OK!
