disable menu animation

Is it possible to disable the menu animation in which when you right click
something the grey menu gradually fades in, rather than just pop up as it
did in previous versions of windows? it's annoying.

You can find these settings in the Control Panel > System > Advanced >
Performance > Settings > Visual effects.
