DirectX 9.0 security update

Got the update notification icon in the system tray.
Went to Windows Update and chose KB839643. Downloaded OK
but won't install.

"The following items failed to install...

Security Update for DirectX 9.0 (KB839643)"

You might want to post this in the windows update forum, I
installed it with no problems
