Direct hosting of SMB over TCP/IP

I am using XP HOME / SP2 connecting to Windows 2000 PRO SP4.

To determine if NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled on a Windows-based
computer, issue a net config redirector or net config server command at
a command prompt. The output shows bindings for the NetbiosSmb device
(which is the "NetBIOS-less" transport) and for the NetBT_Tcpip device
(which is the NetBIOS over TCP transport). For example, the following
sample output shows both the direct hosted and the NBT transport bound
to the adapter:

Workstation active on
NetbiosSmb (000000000000)
NetBT_Tcpip_{610E2A3A-16C7-4E66-A11D-A483A5468C10} (02004C4F4F50)
NetBT_Tcpip_{CAF8956D-99FB-46E3-B04B-D4BB1AE93982} (009027CED4C2)

Notice the complete adapter descriptor. I do not get that detail. Here
is what I get.

C:\>net config server
Server Name \\KING-DADDY
Server Comment king-daddy 51

Software version Windows 2002
Server is active on
NetbiosSmb (000000000000)

Server hidden No
Maximum Logged On Users 5
Maximum open files per session 16384

Idle session time (min) 15
The command completed successfully.

C:\>net config WORKSTATION
Computer name \\KING-DADDY
Full Computer name KING-DADDY
User name clackey

Workstation active on
NetbiosSmb (000000000000)

Software version Windows 2002

Workstation domain KINGDOM
Workstation Domain DNS Name (null)
Logon domain KING-DADDY

COM Open Timeout (sec) 0
COM Send Count (byte) 16
COM Send Timeout (msec) 250
The command completed successfully.

Perhaps a difference in XP HOME and XP PRO?
or What?

Carl, dude,

Look at the Microsoft article:
Workstation active on
NetbiosSmb (000000000000)
NetBT_Tcpip_{610E2A3A-16C7-4E66-A11D-A483A5468C10} (02004C4F4F50)
NetBT_Tcpip_{CAF8956D-99FB-46E3-B04B-D4BB1AE93982} (009027CED4C2)

That's an example with SMB direct, and with two NetBT sessions.
Workstation active on
NetbiosSmb (000000000000)

That's an example with SMB direct only, no NetBT sessions.

....the following sample output shows both the direct hosted and the NBT
transport bound to the adapter:

NetBT_Tcpip_{610E2A3A-16C7-4E66-A11D-A483A5468C10} (02004C4F4F50)
NetBT_Tcpip_{CAF8956D-99FB-46E3-B04B-D4BB1AE93982} (009027CED4C2)

The question here is - are you seeing the different results based upon the
Windows Firewall One Care settings???
