i don't know?? is DLA a microsoft program or a preinstalled third party
program? it was on my computer when i purchased it. how can i find out and
check for updates or patches for this problem, i saw where others have had
similar probolems.

It's a third-party program for authoring CDs (I think, from Veritas). This package is bundled by some OEMs including Compaq/HP etc. Depending upon the software restoration methods adviced by your PC manufacturer, reinstalling DLA might help.

well i did find some information on DLA. it was in the OEM bundle that came
on my HP and is not compatable with Nero's InCD that i installed with a new
DVD-RW. i uninstalled DLA and the RECORD NOW programs and everything seems to
be O-K! time will only tell... XP has a mind of it's own you know. thanks for
your help though!!

I am also getting the "Direct Component Error" every time I boot. I have
send multiple error reports but can find no fix other than uninstalling
the program.

I do not know how to do that nd would appreciate help. Any CD's I make
now can not be read by other computers and I assume this is a result of
this error.

This problem began after I installed Service Pack 2 recently.

Help would be appreciated.

Nora
