XP Service pack 2 and Direct Access Component from Veritas

Once I installed SP2, Vertitas Software's direct access compnent
tfswctrl.exe, which allowed me to use their version of DLA for both Roxio
media Center and HP's DVD writer software could not run. I can still burn
to CD's or DVD's but with less ease and with occasional lock ups.

At the moment, I find no software updates from veritas, HP or Roxio that
address this issue

Any thoughts and or comments would be appreciated.

Is this going to be fixed? I have the same problem with the HP DLA software
which I suspect is the same thing. Here is the error I'm getting:

EventType : BEX P1 : tfswctrl.exe P2 : 1.2.93.0 P3 : 3c082b85
P4 : kernel32.dll P5 : 5.1.2600.2180 P6 : 411096b4 P7 : 00010f8b
P8 : c0000409 P9 : 00000000

Unlike some of the other posts I've seen, I'm still able to use drag and
drop on the CD-RW drive. Not sure why.

Any updates are appreciated.

Thanks,
Bill

I ended up unistalling HPDLA and probably Veritas also (although I don't
remember exactly about Veritas). I also had to unistall Roxio's media
center, run a program from them called Roxiozap to clear out all registry
entries from older Roxio versions, reinstall Roxio media center and things
are working fine.

Here is the response from Roxio with directions for the clean unistall and
reinstall:
