Did uninstalling Office 2007 delete Outlook email folders?

I uninstalled Office 2007 from my wife's old PC and then installed Office
2003 (or XP?) WITHOUT installing Outlook. Then I found out that my wife had
been using the Outlook 2007 to download POP (not Exchange) mail from yahoo
and had an elaborate folder system in her inbox. She didn't know anything
about a .pst file so I don't know if her mail was saved in a .pst file or
not. She is a new PC now with Office 2007 installed.

Can we still get her mail off of the old PC?

Note: I posted this same question within a different (answered) thread, but
I think it belongs as a separate post. Sorry if I created confusion.

Uninstalling Outlook never removes data files. If she was using a POP
account, she was using a PST file and it will still be there.
