Dial Up Connection Properties not available

When I right click on my dial-up connection and then click on Properties, nothing happens. I'm trying to enable my firewall but can't get to the screen to check the box. Also, I keep getting booted out when I go into the internet. After connecting, it seems to try to connect Instant Messenger and can't and then everything gets disconnected. Any help is appreciated!

When I'm online I allof a sudden get frozed and the online communications
shuts off.
