DHCP/Disk problem: lost lease to IP addr & bad block

I have 43 pages of error msgs but the majority of them are the two listed
below:
1) Dhcp: Your computer has lost the lease to its IP address xx.xxx.xxx.xxx
on the Network Card with network address xxxxxxxxxxxx. 2) Disk: The device,
/Device/Harddisk0/D, has a bad block.

The IP address and Network Card that it's referring to is Internet Explorer
so I assume the bad block has something to do with Internet Explorer also. I
also assume the '0' means 0 days because I see where the Lease Obtained and
the Lease Expired dates are always todays date.

This problem just started a few days ago. Can anyone help??? Does anyone
know what to do to solve this issue? PLEASE !!!!!

The two events are not related unless the computer is supposed
to connect to a mapped drive in a host server. AFAIK, the "lease"
on a dynamic IP is set by the ISP. Once its time limit has elapsed,
then the dynamic IP address is released. Contact the ISP to resolve.

As for the bad block error message, it may or may not be related to
a physical drive. Harddisk0 is supposed to be the primary hard drive;
the letter "D" refers to Drive D. If there is a Drive D, then run
scandisk or chkdsk. But if there is no Drive D on the physical hard
drive, then the error message might be pointing to a remote drive
and dropping the IP could be reported the same as a misbehaving
HD.

The bad block error refers a problem with the physical hard drive. You
may be able to fix this by using CHKDSK. Go to Start, Run, and type
'cmd' without the quotes, then enter CHKDSK /F. You will prompted to run
chkdsk on next reboot. Enter y for 'yes' then restart your computer.
