DHCP Error

Hi.

My boss has Win2K Pro SP4. The Event Viewer has the following error:

Source: Dhcp
Category: None
Type: Error
Event ID: 1000
User: N/A
Computer: Diane2
Description:
Your computer has lost the lease to its IP address on the Network Card.

How do I correct this problem?

Thank you.

Hi John
Is this preventing connection to the internet etc? Is it causing a
problem - what problem - or is it just another unexplained event?
If you want to find out all about DHCP go here
http://ns.uoregon.edu/dhcp/faq.html

and here

http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=dhcp+errors&btnG=Search&meta=

I get similar dhcp errors in my event viewer - was told not to worry about
it as long as it did not happen every time I switched on the computer.
Below is the one that I am effected by as I am on cable supply

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q310524/

But my ISP says the problem is their end and not mine?????
Its all a question of 'timing' apparently - never have fully understood it.
The connection, via tcpip, is always rectified a few seconds later according
to event viewer.
Hope you don't mind tech-speak ;-) ;-) re above links.

Isn't there another event error ID along with it, such as 1003. If 1003:

or if the link breaks: http://snipurl.com/sbxc
