Detects Printer - Pls help!

Hello,
My computer detects a printer that isn't connected when
it scans for new hardware. It won't install when I try
because it can't find the specified port (as it ain't
connected!)

I've had this problem for a while now, I use XP Pro.
Please help!

What you can try to do is to cancel the detect new hardware. This will
leave that 'printer' as being disabled in the device manager screen and
it shouldn't detect it on future reboots.
