Detection of downloaded drivers.

I cannot detect the drivers that were downloaded for the sound device. The
volume device is not detected. I installed Windows xp Home Edition after
Vista. Really annoying.

From what little info you've provided, it can only be guessed that
your computer came loaded with Vista and you decided to install XP
instead.

If you didn't ensure that XP drivers were available at the
manufacturer's website before doing that, and if now you find that
there are none, you're SOL.
