Detecting Proxy

I am running a dial up connection, and everytime i go on to
I.E, it says "Detecting Proxy Settings",I've tried
re-installing but still no-luck. Please Help
 
Do you connect to the Internet with other programs, like Outlook Express?
If not, then there may be something wrong with your connection or winsock
files. If you have Windows XP, download and run this script.

Winsock Fix

If the problem only occurs with IE, then make sure the servers settings are
correct. Go to Tools > Options > Connections
