Detecting devices after upgrading Windows 2000

When the setup is detecting devices (like mouse and
keyboard) the setup allways stops at the middle of
progress and boots the system. This a loop where I can not
get out.

What did you upgrade from? Did you perform a compatibility check? Did you
run "winnt32 /checkupgradeonly"? Ceck/Update bios? Verify HCL list? Is
software compatible?

All of the above are not options when it comes to upgrading W2K.
