WINDOWS 2000 SETUP HANGS

Hi everybody

I have tried several times to install win 2000 in a pc
after a total format in its hard drive and subsequent
comfiguration in NTFS. The computer hangs at the middle
of "Installing devices" portion of setup. The CD suddenly
increases activity and after a while just stops working,
or at least I cannot hear it. The same with the HD. I have
tried restaring it, reformating , changing mouses and
keyboards but nothing works. Please, any help would be
appreciated!

This sounds like a hardware issue. Not that your hardware is bad, although
it may be, but more likely it is just not on the HCL which would mean that
there ware no driver provided for on the Windows 2000 CD. Please check
www.microsoft.com/hcl to make sure your hardware is supported by default in
Windows 2000.

I would start with the video card.
