Desktop Display - Can't get an icon off my desktop - Please Help!!

I have an icon on my desktop that I cannot get off. If I try to delete it, it
says "Error Deleting File or Folder - Cannot delete file: cannot read from
the source file or disk.

To watch a video on the nfl.com site, I was prompted to save a file
(CABECVNT.) and it was never able to run properly. I have even tried starting
my computer in safe mode to delete it but even that does not work. If I
double click the icon on my desktop to run it, I get an "Open With" message
pop up. It is an "empty file", and I am not sure if this is the right term;
if I right click and go to "properties", it tells me that the file size (and
size on disk) is 0 bytes. Please Advise!

Rightclick the drive icon in Explorer, Properties, Tools tab, run the Error Checking on the drive
