Deleting Fonts

The Old Timer

When ever I go to print something is many of my applications I get a
huge list of fonts on offer. Most I have never used & never will. Many
don't even appear to really be fonts at all things like Windings & other
ones that display tiny pictures & shapes. Is there any problem in
deleting all of these fonts or at least stop them being offered by
applications like Corel Draw & several video editing & label printing
programs?

Hi,
Yes, you could delete fonts you think you will never use. I'd suggest,
however, that you create a new folder "Disabled Fonts" in C:\WINDOWS and
move unwanted fonts to that folder. You can then undo the move if you need
one of those fonts in the future.

Hope this helps,

There's no problem with deleting the fonts you don't need--except you
never know if you may need them later for some application. A better
way is to reorganize your fonts into categories and then you can pick
and choose the ones you want an application to offer you. There's a
freeware utility, "The Font Thing," that makes this easy:

Wingdings (TrueType) is one font that you don't want to delete.
