font management

Hi folks...I work for a publishing company and we are using Windows 2000 and
XP Professional. We use Extensis Suitcase to manage fonts but at some
previous point there were several hundered fonts beyond what is required by
the Windows OS installed in the Windows font folder. I would like to reduce
these down to just the standard font load required for Windows and then use
Suitcase to manage all other fonts.

When I attempt to move a font out of C:\Windows\Fonts to a separate
directory o the desk top using right click, move, I get an error message

Cannot Move File: Cannot read from source or file disk.

The font then disappears from the C:\Windows\Fonts directory.

Some fonts in the C:\Windows\Fonts have a size of 0k

Thoughts?

Talk to your IT and maybe Extensis. Doesn't sound like an XP
issue off hand.
