deletes 2 emails, instead of 1

I don't have any rules or anything, but suddenly I click on one email to
delete it, and 2 get deleted. They are not dups, or anything like that.
Also, suddenly when I click on some emails to select, they open up, and are
not just selected (like if I want to read them and delete them). Also, if I
select 4 or 5 emails at once, Outlook asks if I want to open them all. No, I
just want to delete them.

Help!

You never mentioned WHICH version of Outlook that you use. Could it be
you are confusing search folder with item folders? That is, some
folders may be displaying a dynamically updated list of items based on
search criteria (i.e., search folders). If so, might the search
criteria be overlapped for different search folders you have defined?

If search folders is causing the problem, someone besides me will have
to continue this discussion. I still use OL2002 which doesn't have the
search folder feature.
