Outlook deleting emails from IMAP server

Hi, I have just switched over to a IMAP server and noticed that when using
outlook the 'delete' is permanently purging the emails from the server. I
would like the emails to delete to the Trash folder and not completely purge
off the system. When I log into the webmail, I can use the delete function
and they messages will stay in the Trash folder until I purge them. I don't
have auto purge on, outlook or the server. Can I create a rule that will not
purge them off the server?
