permanently delete certain emails

Is there a rule that would permanently delete certain emails AFTER you have
read them and then clicked delete? for example, an email comes in from my
gym. I read it (or not ) and click delete but I want it to be a permanent
deletion rather than just moving it to the Deleted folder. Ideally, the rule
would apply only to items in the deleted folder.
Is there a way to do this?
Outlook 2007 is my version. Thanks!

Have you tried Tools -> Options -> Other and place a tick in the top box that
says "Empty the deleted folder upon exiting"

I use the ctrl-Delete to permanently delete items, but I'd like to make it a
button or add it to the right-click menu so that I only have to use the
mouse.

Does anyone know how to do the ctrl-delete function as a macro or some other
way?
