Deleted Windows fonts

Problem:

Using IOLO System Mechaninc i did a system cleanup - which included
defrag / registry cleanup and compaction / and other system maintainence
tasks - after that i did a reboot and from then on i have lost all my
True Type Fonts - from the start up screen to the desktop everything was
in scribbled writing - as i only had the font Marlett - unfortunatley i
did not have a restore point to recover back to the original state -
using another computer i installed the font but everytime on reboot it
looses all font and the font directory is empty excpet for some PFM
fonts - i was even surprised that once i closed the fonts folder - and
opened it up it would automatically loose all the fonts --

obtaining fonts is not the issue - as i have reinstalled windows fonts
about 250 various fonts from another running computer - but as soon as i
close the fonts folder I loose them all and they no longer show up on
the fonts folder -- and also on reboot it reverts back to Marlett font
only -

PS - I have already uninstalled the Systme Mech and allowing it to undo
all changes it made

Puzzled-- hope some genius here has an answer

I had same problem with Mcaffee file cleaning utlity. It was deleting the registry key for current fonts. I think this may be some kind of worm which gets into utilities for file cleanup.
